Teachers' Day Pre-Celebration Activities

The 38th Student Council presents not 1, not 2, but 3 Pre-Celebration activity for Teachers' Day 2015.



Mashed-Up Photo Challenge


Mashed-up photo of teachers will be put up at the C2 point. Students are encouraged to guess the faces of the teachers on the mashed up photo. Answers are to be submitted through a box at the C2 point, answer slips would be provided.


The challenge ends at 1800 hours on 1st September. Winners would be contacted by the Student Council.



Instagram Contest

Takes place from 31st August to 3rd September. The hashtag to be used is #OurNYSuperstar. Deadline for submissions is 10pm on 3rd September.


Rules:

  • Accounts have to be un-privatised to allow judges to see the photos

  • The class post is independent of the individual post scores

  • Class posts should be posted on class Instagram accounts. Accounts that do not have clear indications of their class, should have a hashtag of their class behind the competition hashtag. For eg, #OurNYSuperstar #1401

  • Posts with inappropriate content would be disqualified


Posts are judged based on a) photo creativity and b) meaningful caption. Prizes are given out for the Top 3 individual posts and best class posts for both levels when school starts in Term 4.



Song and Message Dedication

On the 31st August and 1st September, there would be a song dedication in the morning from 0730-0825 at the canteen. The dedication can be made by a person, a group of students, class or CCA. Song dedicated should be appropriate and not be longer than 4.5 minutes.


Dedications are picked by a first come first served basis. Interested students should fill up a Google Form at tinyurl.com/tdaysong15. Dedications are accepted from 27th August. On 3rd September, the dedication messages that have not been read out would be flashed on a message dedication feed in the iSpace when teachers are having their breakfast.
