About Us
The Nanyang Junior College Student Council represents the main medium of communication between the school management and the student body. It seeks to ensure that the voice of every NYJCian is heard and that their well-being is taken care of. The Student Council also plays a major role in overseeing various student activities and initiatives that serve the collective interests of the school and the students. To facilitate the achievement of this objective, the Student Council is divided up into four distinct committees; namely, the Executive (ExCo), Communications (CC), Welfare (Welco) as well as College Image and Branding (CIB) Committees.

Executive Committee
The seven-member Executive Committee forms the policy-making and leadership body of the council and is made up of the President, three Vice-presidents and three committee heads. The Executive Committee helps to set the direction and objectives of council and acts as the council's main steering wheel. The President and the three Vice-Presidents oversee all internal programmes and events helmed by the Student Council, ensuring that they are aligned with the council's mission and vision.

The President of the Student Council: Sng Yi Xuan
He helps to ensure that all planned activities and events are aligned closely with the objectives and purpose of the council.
Vice-President of Planning and Communications: Ng Jia Yuan
He is in charge of overseeing internal liaisons and communications within the school.
Vice-President of Partnerships: Manita Goh
She is in charge of any liaison with external vendors, as well as any external presentations and branding of the college.
Vice-President of Student Affairs: Shaw Qi Xuan
She is in charge of overseeing the welfare of the student population, including that of the councillors themselves.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee is in charge of managing internal relations within the college. They act as the link between the council and the student body, as well as the bridge between the student body and the school management. It provides a platform for NYJCians to voice their opinions on school affairs and conducts regular school-wide surveys, as well as Dialogue Sessions with the school leaders. It also oversees the running of various feedback channels such as the official Student Council Twitter and Instagram accounts. To encourage better dissemination of information within the college, the Communications Committee also organises the Council Address which provides termly updates on college activities and initiatives for the student population.

She oversees all events carried out within the committee, and aids in steering the team forward by setting visions and goals while maintaining the well-being of the members.
Deputy Head: Alexis Goh
She assists the committee head in steering the team forward and provides advice to the members while maintaining the dynamics within the team and collecting feedback whenever necessary. She also does the secretorial work of the committee.
Feedback Officers: Ng Yin Yan, Jason Chua, Tai Jia Yi
They are the main I/Cs of school dialogue sessions, and surveys. They collate feedback from relevant bodies, and implement new initiatives based on the collected information.
Liaison Officers: Celesse Tay, Jojo Tan
They liaise with other CCAs regarding collaborations and projects. This includes the dissemination of information, requests for assistance during projects and events, and the collection of feedback after adhocs and events). They are also in charge of maintaining the C2 point.
Media and Events Directors: Yu Danshu, Gloria Hung, Lim Zong Hui
They are the main ICs of emails and Student Council social media accounts (Instagram, YouTube, Twitter) They also plan termly council addresses to update the student population on upcoming events, while also taking charge of any other events that CC may initiate.

College Image and Branding Committee
The College Image and Branding Committee plans and holds college-wide events and activities aimed at fostering a stronger college spirit, to create a fun and enjoyable learning environment for students. The committee is at the forefront of many college publicity campaigns.

He takes minutes during meetings to ensure that all committee members are updated with what had been discussed during the meeting. He also keeps track of financial records.

Creative director: Hayden Chua
He is mainly in charge of the designing of college merchandise, and is responsible for the aesthetics set-up for events organised.

Public Relation Officer (PRO): Chaokitkha Kantaphon and Priya Lakshmi
They are responsible for coming up with cheers and leading the school population in cheering events. They also sport CCA liasions, to create platforms to gather feedback and disseminate information to and from CCA leaders.

Branding Executive: Avinarsh Sundralingam and Iris Har
In charge of promoting school spirit through branding (college merchandise) and responsible for printing publicity in the college (poster board rental).

Resource Manager: Chen Xiao Hong and Shania Kesuma
They are in charge of logistics needed during events and the execution of backdrops, decorations and giving out of college merchandise.

Welfare Committee
The Welfare Committee aims to enhance the quality of life among NYJCians. They oversee and maintain the services pertaining to the student population such as the BBQ Pit, Lost and Found, Foosball Table and X-Box Machine. They also carry out projects such as the college's Night Study Programme and J2 Well-Wishes, as well as our own committee-initiated projects. The committee places the well-being of each NYJCian to our upmost importance, and through their work and initiatives, envision a better NYJC for all.

They oversee the well-being of the members of the council by planning and facilitating internal events in order to maintain team spirit within the council.
Public Welfare Officers: Hanny Ignasia and Ho Hol Yarn
They oversee events and initiatives pertaining to the student body, and guide the team in planning and carrying out these activities.
Operations Managers: Joel Tan, Charis Koh and Gu Geng
They oversee the facilities and services in the school which are run by the council, such as the Lost and Found, X-Box Machine, BBQ Pit and Foosball Table. They are also in charge of the maintenance of these services.
Administrative and Logistics Officer: Tan Joe Wel and Benjamin Lien
They keep track of the logistics in the council rooms and keep the council updated on the entire list of items they have. They also hold the keys to the rooms and take note of the details of council meetings.
